Sheela K Shetty, vice-president, Udupi Zilla Panchayat who inaugurated the phone-in by receiving a call from a student urged them to be focussed in their preparation for SSLC examination. She advised students to focus on subjects that could be their potential weak link, while not losing sight of their favourite subjects in the process. Students from the district have always excelled in SSLC examinations in the past, she said.
Some of the questions that students posed to subject experts and N H Nagur, deputy director, department of public instruction included the now familiar one on whether there will be a change in question paper pattern. Students were keen to know if any grammar portion has been deleted, DDPI said, adding that they also sought guidance on important essays they need to prepare for as well as the poems they need to memorise as part of their preparation.
Students were also keen to know when the department planned to hold the preparatory examination in the run up to the main SSLC examination. They also wanted to know the important lessons they needed to focus on and a summary of which poem will be asked in the exam. There was also a query on if they had a choice in supplementary lessons. Five subject experts, Brahmawar BEO O R Prakash and other department officials were present.
